“I.S. Partners LLC’s support of the local chapter of Make-A-Wish started small, but now the company is a sponsor of an annual walk to benefit the organization and participates in several other events throughout the year. Charged with the mission to help grant wishes to children in need of hope, strength and joy, staff in the ACA affiliate member company’s Horsham, Pa., office started making small donations to the Make-AWish Chapter of Philadelphia, Northern Delaware and Susquehanna Valley before joining in local events and fundraisers. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a nonprofit organization that arranges special experiences for children with lifethreatening medical conditions. Through donations of time and money, I.S. Partners is helping to grant these children wishes and give them a few moments of joy in the midst of a very difficult situation. In 2014, I.S. Partners found a new outlet for its employees and their families and friends to get out in the community and support Make-A-Wish. The company became a Star of Strength Sponsor at the Walk for Wishes—Philadelphia last year. Walk for Wishes celebrates more than 240,000 wishes granted by Make-A-Wish nationwide and is a fundraiser to help with future wishes.
Twenty-three employees from I.S. Partners participated in the 2015 event and there were 1,600 walkers total, said Timothy Olden, the company’s vice president of client acquisitions, East Coast. I.S. Partners raised $3,000 for Make-AWish through the Walk for Wishes and is already planning to participate in the 2016 event and continue its Star of Strength sponsorship, Olden said. Until then, I.S. Partners is focused on other ways to support Make-A-Wish. During the holidays, in lieu of gifts for its clients, I.S. Partners now chooses to donate to Make-A-Wish on their behalf and will match any donation up to $100. In the past, one of the company’s first events benefitted a young girl who dreamed of attending the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Her wish was granted by the company’s local Make-A-Wish Chapter, and it was kicked off in style at the Hard Rock Café in Philadelphia. The girl was the star of the event, which included a red carpet lined with supporters.”
