SSAE 16
In April 2010, the AICPA published a new Attestation Standard, SSAE No. 16, which supersedes the existing guidance (SAS 70) for performing an examination of a service organization's controls and processes.
Similarities between SAS 70 & the new guidance consist of:
- Scope
- Type I & Type II
- Carve-out and inclusive methods
- Restricted use reports
